Maternal Support

I specialise in working with mothers and mothers-to-be. Pregnancy, birth and new motherhood can be a period of immense change for mothers and balancing your own needs and relationships at this time can be challenging and stressful. I offer a non-judgemental, supportive sessions to explore the range of thoughts and feelings that may arise at this time.

I have fourteen years of experience working one-to-one with mothers, having started my therapy career as a volunteer listener at the Twins Trust (formally known as TAMBA). Since then, I have supported mothers through a variety of challenges, including antenatal & post-natal depression and anxiety, miscarriage, birth trauma, stress, loss, relationship issues and family difficulties.

My doctoral research focused on women's experiences of anxiety after birth, and as a professional member of the Society for Reproductive and Infant Psychology (SRIP), I take a keen interest in developments in the perinatal field.

Perinatal Support Sessions

Face to face sessions take place at my practice in West Wickham in Kent. This is within easy reach of Bromley and Beckenham.

If preferred, I also over video or telephone appointments. These sessions provide the same level of support but with greater flexibility & can be particularly helpful to parents who may have difficulty arranging childcare to attend face-to-face sessions. The work we do together will be just as effective as if we were working in a room together.

Please get in touch for further information and to ask any questions.
